Singapore Actress Jacelyn Tay

Jacelyn Tay was born on 12 June 1975 in Singapore. The 170cm beauty is a popular actress in Singapore. Her journey as an actress began while in her freshman year at the National University of Singapore. she entered the 4th bi-annual Star Search Competition organised by MediaCorp and won the female category.

Upon winning a contract with MediaCorp, she discovered that she enjoyed acting and decided to quit her studies. However, she was disappointed in her first few years with MediaCorp as she was given only minor roles and therefore unable to showcase her amazing talent.

Jacelyn's first major role would not come until 1998, when she was cast in the role of He Xiangu in the Singapore TV series "Legends of the Eight Immortals" where she receive her first Star Award.

She then acted in various roles ranging from a girl-next-door, a member of a hotel staff to a psychiatrist. Jacelyn's unforgettable screen performances in period dramas were so well-received that she won the coveted award of Taiwan's Most Popular MediaCorp Female Artiste in Star Awards 1999.

Another surprise is... Jacelyn loves singing and she recorded a few songs for some of the drama she starred in. Amongst other thing, Jacelyn produced a magazine show, wrote 2 books and is currently hosting a health and beauty show entitled A New You.
