Renate Verbaan was born in Rotterdam on 27 October 1979. Renate is a popular VJ in Netherlands. She was discovered in 2004 when TMF held an audition for a new VJ. Renate took part managed to finish top three (selected by the public). That was a surprise to Renate as she was a part-time model and had no related experience. The station then selected programmes for her to host and the rest was history...She's also made appearences in movies such as Boys and Girls and grace the cover of FHM in 2004.
