Happy New Year guys! As promised, I'm here to announce Newsmaker of the year 2006. She is none other than the beautiful actress Maggie Q! We've featured her here a couple of times in the past few months and it's been an amazing journey for her in 2006 as she managed to break into the Hollywood film industry.
This stunning beauty started by earning money as a model in Taiwan, Japan and Hong Kong but she wasn't succesful as a model. In 1998 she got her first role in a Chinese TV series, and the rest... is history.
Her big breakthrough in the West came when she bagged the lead role in American-Hong Kong action thriller NakedWeapon, playing the sexy but vulnerable martial artist assassin. Recently, she starred in her biggest Hollywood role to-date alongside Cruise in MI: III.
Maggie will play a world-class hacker at odds with a villain who tries to terrorize America in the fourth installment of Die Hard. Also, Maggie will star alongside Natasha Henstridge, Hugh Jackman and Ewan McGregor in The Tourist.
