Kelly Hu was born on 13 February 1968 in Honolulu, Hawaii. This 165cm beauty is of Chinese, English, and Hawaiian descent.
During her childhood days, Kelly has held a lifelong interest in singing and dancing and was also been interested in martial arts. Kelly's cousin was a successful model in Japan and she decided to follow her example. To gain publicity, Kelly entered the Miss Teen USA contest in 1985 and became the first Asian American to win the title.
Kelly worked in Japan and Italy, the latter in which she became well-known as the star of a series of ads for Philadelphia brand cream cheese. In 1987, Kelly moved to Los Angeles and began her acting career with a guest starring role on the sitcom Growing Pains. This opened many doors for her, with appearances on TV series such as Night Court, 21 Jump Street, and Melrose Place... She also won the title of Miss Hawaii USA in 1993 and was a finalist at the 1993 Miss USA pageant.
From 1995, her impresive resume include roles in both TV and movies including, Nash Bridges, Martial Law, Scorpion King and X-Men II. Also, Kelly has been featured twice in Maxim magazine (May 2002 and May 2005).
