Airport security forces Renée to show the world her beauty products

She's a Hollywood A-lister who has nabbed an Oscar and has millions in the bank.

Yet Renée Zellweger's visit to Los Angeles International Airport yesterday proves why she is considered tinsel town's most down-to-earth star as she revealed the contents of her handbag - numerous beauty products and battered trainers.

The 38-year-old actress was making her way through security when she was required to empty her gigantic bag into a tray to pass through the conveyor belt.

WHY BEAUTY MATTERS: A down-to-earth Renée Zellweger makes her way through security at Los Angeles International Airport yesterday, placing all her beauty products in a bag

Besides her myriad of facial treatments which she placed in a transparent bag, Zellweger also had to remove her trusted and obviously well-worn running shoes, to walk through security in just her white socks.

Dressed in a tatty grey top, pair of jeans and sunglasses which she kept on the whole time, the modest star appeared in good spirits as she happily obliged.

The Bridget Jones's actress was in the City of Angels for last weekend's Oscar ceremony, where she appeared painfully thin on the red carpet.

However she did look every inch the Hollywood star as she graced the red carpet in a stunning Carolina Herrara gown accessorised with vintage diamond Cartier brooches.
