Born on August 25, 1987, Lui Yi Fei or Crystal Liu spent her childhood mostly in Wuhan, China. At the age of 8 years old, Crystal was already modeling and since then, many people believed she has the potential to be an artist because of her talent not only in modeling but also in singing and dancing as well.
After her parents' divorce, Lui left China for the USA with her mother at age of 10. In 2002, Lui returned to China and was accepted into the prestigios Beijing Film Academy at age 15.
On that same year, she received offers to lead in various TV shows and later she made her first role on television in a TV series. Her breakthrough performance as an actress came when she returned to China to co-star with Jackie Chan and Jet Li in a martial arts movie "The Forbidden Kingdom".
