Sonam kapoor is the Indian bollywood celebrity & the daughter of actor Anil kapoor working in bollywood movies. She had done her schooling from Arya Vidya Mandir school in Juhu and United World College of South East Asia. She had done her graduation from University of East London.

When she was not come to the big screen she had worked as an assistant under Sanjay Leela Bhanshal.

She started her career from “Saawariya” movie of sanjay leela bhanshali and acted with Ranbeer kapoor in 2007. She acted very well in this film and become popular to the Indian bollywood lovers. After that she worked in “Delhi 6” with Abhishek Bacchan in direction of Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra this film flopped but performance of Sonam Kapoor was highly praised by all the peoples.

In the current year her two movies recently released first “I Hate Luv Storys” opposite Imran Khan. And second is “Aisha” opposite Abhay Deol. These both movies create a new story of success on the box office because of her firecracker performance. Sonam Kapoor is dating her I Hate Luv Storys director Punit Malhotra. And all's not well. This relationship is causing stress for both involved because mixing business and pleasure is not as easy or fun as it sounds.

The first-time director is finding it difficult to concentrate on his film, given the distraction of his ladylove around, and the lectures by his uncle Manish Malhotra and producer Karan Johar to "concentrate only on his work" aren't helping.

Meanwhile, like any 20-plus girl in the throes of love, Sonam is finding it difficult to relate to her boyfriend, who also happens to be the boss on the set. The arguments and fights keep happening between the young lovers, who hit it off instantly as they were both single and compatible as they discovered at the very first meeting.

The crew of the film is aware of the closeness between Sonam and Punit. A khabru from the sets reveals, "The relationship is rather new, and at this early stage, tiffs are normal. In fact, Imran keeps teasing her about it all the time."

The two bonded and became serious during their New Zealand schedule. The source continues, "Punit was constantly taking Sonam's photos and telling her how gorgeous she looked. Whenever they weren't shooting, the two would go out and try new places for dinner. In fact, Sonam even told her sister Rhea about Punit."

Punit who's a protege of Dharma Productions has assisted Karan on several films in the past. It is learnt that Karan is well aware of their budding romance, and has even reprimanded Punit on a few occasions. Sonam is very moody and her state of mind has been apparent in her recent Twitter messages. She even cancelled going to an award function because of her fight with Punit."

The two became serious during the New Zealand schedule. They used to go out for dinner together and enjoyed each other's company.

Punit has earlier worked assistant director in Paheli (2005), starring Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukerji; and Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003), starring Shah Rukh Khan, Saif Ali Khan and Preity Zinta. Not surprisingly, Manish Malhotra will design the costumes for the film.

I Hate Love Stories is said to be a film about a film director, Sammir and his assistant director and production designer played by Imran and Sonam.

Inside sources suggest that Sonam and Cyrus have been seeing each other since the past few months and are extremely fond of each other. It is believed that the two are often spotted spending quality time together at many of Mumbai’s suburban restaurants.

Not long ago, Cyrus, in an interview had stated had stated “Sonam beats me up randomly. I think she was my doctor in my last life. Whenever I’m a little low, she electrocutes me.”

Even though it is early to predict where this friendship is going, sources reveal the two revel in each other's company.

Sonam was the first one to enter and the last one to leave at Abhay's birthday bash on Sunday (March 15) . According to a source, the bash was only for Abhay's non-filmi friends.
