Hong Kong gossip mills are churning over stars Edison Chen, Gillian Chung (鍾欣桐), Bobo Chan (陳文媛) and Cecilia Cheung (張栢芝) as a scandal has erupted around the stars. The media frenzy began in late January and has continued at a frenzied pace when revealing personal pictures of Chung, a member of the squeaky clean Cantopop duo Twins, and her former boyfriend, singer-actor Chen.
Gillian Chung's company, Emperor Entertainment Group, initially said the photographs were a digital fake, recent media reports have suggested otherwise. The newspaper also reported that Bobo Chan had her upcoming wedding called off on the orders of her fiancé’s mother.
It was rumoured that the photos were stolen along with others when Edison Chen's computer went in for repair. Gillian Chung , Bobo Chan and Cecilia Cheung have not appeared in public since sexually explicit images purportedly of them involved in sex acts with Edison started surfacing.
Updated 11/02/08: The highly sought after pictures of Maggie Q are being slowly released. But word in the forum has it that it's a fake.
Updated 10/02/08: Gillian Chung finally made her first public appearance today telling everybody that she was naive and foolish. Meanwhile, rumour has is that Hollywood superstar Jackie Chan is mentioned in the video during a 'conversation' between Edison and Gillian.
Updated 09/02/08: New sets of Bobo Chan were released today in various poses.
Updated 08/02/08: Around four brand new sets of Gillian and Cecilia have been released. Also along with this set, 3 pictures of Vincy Yeung in the shower was included. She’s 18 now, but no one knows when the pictures were taken. Her uncle is Edison’s ex-boss and has gang affiliations. Looks like Edison's in some trouble now.
Update 08/02/08: A video of Hollywood star Maggie Q (李美琪) involved in sex acts with Edison had surfaced on the web. It was rumoured that the sex tape showed up on a Hong Kong discussion board but was swiftly removed by moderators.
Update 08/02/08: Rumour is that images of Jolin Tsai (蔡依林) in lingerie had surfaced on the internet. There are four images circulating on the web of a woman, purported to be Jolin, in provocative poses.
Also, less well known celebrities including Rachel Ngan (顏穎思), Mandy Chen (陳育嬬) and Candice Chan (陳思慧) were purported to be the women in other sex photos that flooded the internet and that were also alleged to come from Edison's computer.
