All smiles: Sugababe Amelle Berrabah steps out with her boyfriend Freddie Fuller for the first time in London last night since the horrific Christmas Eve machete attack which left him fighting for his life

The ex-tree surgeon was set upon after a night out last Christmas Eve with his friends and girlfriend at Yates wine bar in Aldershot, Hants.

Fuller, 25, repeatedly dodged the razor-sharp blade as his assailant tried to hack at his head.

His left arm and right thumb were left hanging off—while blood pumped from gaping wounds in his skull, right leg and hand.

Fuller then spent weeks recovering in hospital with Amelle, 23, who he described as his rock throughout his ordeal, by his side.

And Amelle said: "He was left for dead. It was horrific — like a nightmare but worse because it was real."

Meanwhile, the troubled member of the hit girl group has learned she will not be charged with criminal damage after being arrested by Hampshire Police.

The 23-year-old turned up to Aldershot police station last weekend to answer bail for a public disorder offence and for causing criminal damage to a car.

But police told her she would not be charged following the alleged incident last month in Denmark Street, Aldershot.

Her sister's neighbour had claimed the singer smashed up her car last month.

But sister Laila, 33, of Aldershot, insisted Amelle was in London with her boyfriend Freddie Fuller, 25, at the time.
