Ooh Judy! Richard gets saucy in new chatshow as TV's

Despite his contorted face the man in the silk shirt is unmistakably Richard Madeley, but that's certainly not Judy he's got his arms around.

But telly's golden couple haven't parted company, despite the burlesque dancer who appears to have captivated Richard.

She is one of a troupe who feature in the advert promoting their cable TV show Richard & Judy's New Position.

If the advert is a hint of things to come then Richard and his wife Judy Finnigan, 60, appear to be planning a new look for their move from terrestrial TV.

It shows them flying through the air and performing, surrounded by an ensemble of feather clad burlesque dancers.

The husband and wife presenting duo, whose TV partnership spans two decades, said goodbye to Channel 4 viewers earlier this year with an hour-long retrospective.

The move to digital means audiences will be significantly smaller than the 2million who tuned in to their show at its peak two years ago.

And although the couple's new deal will see them paid £1million each, their contracts will run only until autumn 2009 with an option to extend if they pull in big enough ratings.

The couple's decision to split from Channel 4 follows a dip in ratings and the phone-in scandal over the Richard & Judy programme's You Say We Pay quiz last year.
